The open access movement is one which seems to be gaining increasing approval and adoption accross a number of fields and disciplines. DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journals
This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. The aim is to cover all subjects and languages. There are now 2577 journals in the directory. Currently 768 journals are searchable at article level.
GeoRef coverage of Open-Access Journals
GeoRef covers journals and series that are openly available on the web. Only journals and series that appear to provide stable open-access to current issues, have multiple issues available for use, and appear to plan to continue to be available in an open manner are included.
Geoscience e-Journals
Online publications grouped under the aegis "Geoscience e-Journals" incorporate those peer-reviewed electronic journals dedicated to open access publishing in the field of Earth Sciences, that is those e-journals that permit free online access to all or at least a major part of their current issue and/or archives.
