The Delphi project is an attempt to store research data on marine
cores. Most of these data are used in paleo-climate research. This work is part of the EEC-mobility project, and has the form of a Post-Doctorate post, based at the University of Cambridge.
If you use these data, please send me a note. That way I can get some kind of idea who is using it.
All the data in this repository is free!

About depth information:
Normally all the observations are linked with 'depth in core'. Some projects, like ODP, have devised a different method of determining
depth. In that case the so-called depth method is also listed. At this moment only two 'depth information types' are used:

In the future one type will be added:

About the filenames:
The general way of naming files is like:

a) This gives the class of the measurement (dO18, dC13, age etc)
b) The abreviated form of the species
c) Additonal information
-- s sinistral (left coiling)
-- d dextral (right coiling)
-- white (white color, eg used with G.ruber)
-- pink (pink color, eg used with G.ruber)
-- etc
d) Information about the size, if available
e) Number used internally
