About
I am a seismologist interested in earthquakes and seismic tomography. I studied Geophysical Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, where I completed my Ph.D. in 2020. During my Ph.D., I investigated the body-wave velocity structure of the Sunda-Banda Arc Transition Zone, Indonesia, based on travel time tomography and analysis of seismicity in the eastern part of Indonesia, and also shed new light on the 2018 Lombok and Palu earthquake sequences. In 2008, I joined the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika/BMKG) Indonesia as an earthquake analyst. In 2021, I joined the University of Cambridge as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the group of Professor Nicholas Rawlinson at Bullard Laboratories, Department of Earth Sciences. My current research involves the analysis of seismicity in Indonesia caused by active faults and imaging of the 3-D seismic velocity structure beneath Sulawesi (Indonesia) and its surroundings by applying local earthquake body wave travel-time tomography.
