Gift Aid your donation
UK tax payers can use Gift Aid to make a donation worth more. For every pound you give, the department get an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue and Customs, at no extra cost to yourself, this is of enormous benefit.
US taxpayers
If you are a US taxpayer, you may prefer to donate via Cambridge in America, which is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation (recognised by the US Internal Revenue Service) that funds grants to benefit the University of Cambridge and its member Colleges and Departments. Gifts to Cambridge in America qualify for an income tax deduction to the limits allowed by law. You can give online or by post within the US using the Cambridge in America gift form. Please state that you would like your donation to support the Department of Earth Sciences when making your gift.
Leave a gift in your will
An effective way of contributing to the long-term development of the Department’s programme is through the provision of a legacy in your will. Legacies to charities are exempt from tax and so reduce liability for inheritance tax. Please see the University advice on how legacies can be written into your will.
