About
I am a laboratory technician in the Godwin Laboratory, assisting in the daily running of their gas source mass spectrometers.
Previously I worked as a low temperature geochemist specialised in understanding the movement of water on very early formed, primitive (C and D-complex) asteroids by examining meteoritic analogues. I have used a range of both traditional (H-N-C-O) and novel (Li) to investigate these phenomena. I maintain an active interest in this research area and continue to collaborate with researchers here in Cambridge and The Open University.
I completed my BSc in Geology at Durham University, UK, 2016, followed by an 18 month research project looking at HSE systematics in the Allende meteorite. Following this I received a PhD in CM chondrite meteoritics (O-isotopes) at The Open University in March 2024. Following on from this, I worked as an LCLU postdoc with Helen Williams and Ed Tipper in applying the Li isotope system to primitive extra terrestrial materials.
