Fiona E. Iddon

As part of the RiftVolc project, my PhD focusses on peralkaline magmatism along the Main Ethiopian Rift, to gain a better understanding of eruption dynamics and the cause of bimodal magmatism in the region. I will be working specifically on the Kone volcanic complex, using a combination of geochemical techniques and diffusion modelling to characterise the system, quantify the volatile budget and place timescales on magma chamber processes and potential eruption triggers.
