From New Zealand, Cara has spent most of her career working in marketing and events. After completing her degree in archaeology at Auckland University, she worked in marketing for the largest expositions organiser in New Zealand before deciding to go on her 'OE' (Overseas Experience), a right of passage for many young kiwis. Even though she intended only to stay in the UK for a short time, she has found herself well settled and has enjoyed the opportunity to immerse herself in the lifestyle Cambridge offers for nearly two decades. She hasn't lost her kiwi accent though.
Working with Earth Sciences Alumni gives Cara the opportunity continue to practice the skills she has as well as the chance to meet and engage wtih a wide range of people who are now based all over the world and are providing world class skills and knowledge to a huge variety of institutions.
