Biography

I am an Earth Scientist with broad expertise in geodynamics, thermodynamics, petrology and geochemistry. I am interested in how reactive geological fluids have shaped the planet over geological history, and how we can harness them for subsurface carbon/energy storage to support sustainable decarbonisation. To study this I develop coupled thermodynamic-fluid dynamic models.

During my PhD at Columbia University I worked on reactive multiphase flow during melt transport in the mantle. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at the Bullard Labs I am developing models to understand the coupling between temperature, flow and reaction during CO2 sequestration in sedimentary basins.
