I conduct analogue fluid dynamics lab experiments, as well as idealised numerical and analytical models to study environmental and geophysical flows, with a focus on unraveling small-scale processes within large-scale turbulent flows. I am especially interested in multiphase flows and how chemical reactions and phase changes influence mixing and the transport of pollutants and particles, through a range of topics including cloud dynamics, landslides, microplastic dispersal, crystallising magmatic flows and solidifying planetary cores.
