Passerine evolution and comparative morphology
Total-evidence phylogenetics
Department of Earth Sciences
I combine zoology and palaeontology by working on extinct and living taxa. I'm interested in the evolutionary history of hyper-diverse vertebrate groups, especially when and how they evolved their specialised characteristics. My PhD applies comparative morphology and phylogenetics to study the evolution of the most diverse order of birds, the passerines.
